An Annual Gathering of Peace in the Snowy Mountains
The United Church of Christ in the Southeast Region of the US hosts annual conference in Blowing Rock, North Carolina of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The focus of the conference is to create a space for youth and their respective leaders from the various UCC congregations of the region to gather for a weekend of worship, discussions of service, and some quality ‘snow time’ on the slopes. Many of the events and workshops are focused on building working and communal relationships through spiritual content.
My focus on this project was—upon receipt of that year’s theme—to illustrate a visual branding system. The primary feature of the brand would be used on T-Shirts. The visual needed to have a secondary option that was inclusive of all the participating organizations’ names. It’s alternate uses were primarily via social media and email templates.
